The RFC is a business and lifestyle center for entrepreneurs, small business owners, content creators, and anyone else that wants to join a thriving community in a beautiful space. We officially open in September of 2024, but talks of the RFC have been in progress for close to 10 years - and now felt like the perfect time to bring a welcoming space to St. Louis.

Being a small business owner can feel very isolating. You're working long hours to bring your vision to life, often by yourself for the first few years until you can afford to bring others in. It doesn't have to be that way. The RFC aims to turn many of the moments you experience as a small business owner/entrepreneur/content creator into a community setting, where you can share equipment, knowledge, and space with other creatives.

Once you are a member, you have access to the entire space during our open hours (with the members-only option to rent the space after hours). Drink coffee, network with other business owners, attend free courses on all things small business, and feel inspired by the unique and creative corners within The RFC.

The biggest benefit, in our opinion, is membership in a community of other small business owners, entrepreneurs, and content creators that know exactly what you're going through.

There's lots of other benefits though (my favorite is the hidden snack pantry). Head on over to the amenities page to see a constantly growing list of what we offer, free of charge, to our members.

We have worked really really hard to price our membership at the lowest possible price point and we think you will love the value. In order to get into the group, we ask that you commit to 3 months of membership, after that you can choose to cancel at anytime.

Within 1 business day, members will receive an email that will  grant them access to our member portal & community Facebook page, a survey so we can learn how to best serve you, and of course a link to agree to our community guidelines. We will also schedule your headshot with you as well!

We are open Monday - Friday 8:30am-6:00pm, and have extended late night hours on Tuesdays from 6:00pm-8:00pm.

Gasp! That's one of the C words we rarely ever use to describe the space because it's a little misleading.

Many coworking spaces are designed for members to have a space outside of their home to work. That's where the similarities stop.

When we've used coworking spaces in the past, it doesn't feel like other people there are your coworkers. We try to avoid them and find a corner to work, and then the space is never fun and creative, and they have printers but not the other thousand things we need to run a small business.

The RFC is specifically built for small businesses to have well-rounded access to the things they truly use. Product photography spaces, an engraver for client gifts, and a podcast studio - in addition to the typical things you see in a coworking space.

Just kidding. It stands for a lot of things, because we care about a lot of things. Community, creativity, collaboration, celebration, connection, confidence, colorful - there are a lot of c-words you could use to describe us.

Yes! We want this to be a community gathering space. To be respectful of other members, we just ask that you keep your volume to a reasonable level. Each member has 2-3 guest passes a month, depending on your membership level. We also understand that everyone's business needs are different, and would love to discuss your individual needs if you believe more guest passes would be beneficial for your participation in the community! Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions about non-member access or events.

We're a new business, and are eagerly awaiting the growth of our community to better be able to listen to and meet their needs. If enough members are interested in expanded hours, we will do that (so don't hesitate to reach out and ask). Currently, we have the most interest in 8:30am-6:00pm.

We welcome any quiet and well behaved dog! As long as we get to pet. It's not that we don't love other animals, because we do, but we want to avoid pets from being spooked by something they aren't used to.

We absolutely loved our retail store in Kirkwood and the community that grew from the brands within. In early 2024, we found out that we would no longer be able to reasonably afford to rent the building after a rent increase due to factors outside of our control. We were devastated by this, and the loss of our original space on Lafayette in the same few months. When we moved into our new building in Bevo Mill, the only thing we knew for sure was that we needed to fight to keep the community alive that we had created with the businesses in our retail store. Thus, The RFC was born - shifting our focus to the small businesses that make St. Louis a better place.

We do! Among other things, like custom carpentry, built-ins, mudrooms, stairs, and more. The RFC functions in the same place as our showroom, much like how our cabinetry was integrated into our retail store. They're two separate businesses, both driven by the same love for our community, quality work, and a place to call home.

RF Home Co - The overarching business, run by Nicole and Brandt. RF Home Co started as a home refinishing company, but expanded to include all sorts of in-home work - including our retail store, which sold things to make your home beautiful too! Now, after the closure of our retail store, RF Home Co typically refers to the cabinet side of our business.

The RFC - Our lifestyle and business center, focused on growing a nurturing a community of small businesses, entrepreneurs, and content creators.

That's it! With so many ideas, we know it can be difficult to keep track of. But currently, we operate our two ventures out of the same roof - and are putting all our energy toward these two. If you see anyone claiming to be us running a retail store, online storefront, or just about anything else, it's not us!
